By installing or using VoicePen AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms govern your use of the VoicePen AI Chrome extension and any associated services provided at this website.

VoicePen AI is a client-side browser extension that connects to third-party AI services using API keys you provide. The extension enables voice-to-text dictation and AI-assisted note-taking directly in your browser.

• All AI processing is performed by third-party providers (e.g. OpenAI, Google)
• VoicePen AI does not operate or control those AI services
• We provide the extension software; the AI capability is provided by the service you connect

Because AI requests are made directly from your browser to the AI provider using your own API key, VoicePen AI has no control over the AI services. We accept no responsibility for:

• Output accuracy — transcriptions and AI-generated text may contain errors
• Data handling by providers — how your data is processed by OpenAI, Google, or any other provider is governed by their own terms and policies
• Service availability — uptime and reliability of third-party AI services is outside our control
• Changes to provider APIs — features may change or break if a provider updates their API

By using VoicePen AI, you agree to:

• Provide your own valid API key from the AI provider(s) you use
• Comply with the terms of service of those providers (e.g. OpenAI Terms of Use, Google Terms of Service)
• Use the extension lawfully and not for any prohibited or illegal purpose
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension without permission

VoicePen AI uses your own API key to interact with third-party AI providers. You are solely responsible for all costs and charges incurred through your API usage.

• API calls made by the extension are billed directly to your account with the provider
• VoicePen AI has no visibility into, or liability for, those charges
• Monitor your usage and set spending limits in your provider account

Your API keys are stored locally in your browser using AES-256-GCM encryption. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API keys confidential and secure
• Revoking and rotating compromised keys promptly via your provider dashboard
• Any unauthorised usage charges resulting from a compromised key

VoicePen AI is not liable for any damages arising from the loss or misuse of your API keys.

VoicePen AI is sold as a lifetime license for a one-time fee, processed by LemonSqueezy.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital product and agree to immediate access to that content. In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Article 16(m)), you expressly waive your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been delivered.

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the product, please contact us via the support page and we will do our best to resolve it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VoicePen AI and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Downtime or errors from third-party AI providers
• Inaccurate transcriptions or AI-generated content
• Loss of data stored locally in your browser
• Misuse of API keys or unexpected charges from providers
• Any interruption or discontinuation of the extension or its features

VoicePen AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or reliability of transcription or AI output
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all websites or web applications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of VoicePen AI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the latest version was published.
